Brainercises - exercises to keep your brain sharp

Product Description

Brainercises highlights the brain as the most important organ in the body and emphasizes the importance of taking good care of the brain throughout the ageing process. It consists of two parts. The theoretical part discusses the effects of ageing on the brain and delves into the topic of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. The practical part consists of exercises for stimulating and strengthening different cognitive processes. These exercises are grouped for training of visual perception, attention, memory, learning, and problem solving. Each exercise has two levels of difficulty, complete with a list of correct solutions.
Written by Vojko Kavčič – a cognitive neuroscientist and Assistant Research Professor at the Institute of Gerontology (Wayne State University) - with more than twenty years of experience in researching Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.
